What are the differences between PA6 and PA66? PA6 is formed by ring opening polymerization of caprolactam, while PA66 is formed by condensation polymerization of hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid. Both have the same molecular formula, but their structures are quite different. The hydrogen bond number of Nylon 66 is higher than that of Nylon Pa6, and the molecular force is stronger than that of PA6. Therefore, Polyamide Nylon 66 has better thermal performance and requires higher processing temperature.
